
LG Electronics MobileComm (LG Mobile Phones) kicks off CTIA in Las Vegas with a roar as it announces an exclusive mobile phone marketing alliance with the highly anticipated upcoming summer film “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen,” produced by DreamWorks Pictures and Paramount Pictures. Paramount will release the film on June 24, 2009. In anticipation of the release, LG Mobile Phones will launch a multi-faceted marketing campaign to promote the LG Mobile Phones brand and the overall theme of technology in the film. “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen” director and executive producer, Michael Bay, will make a special appearance in the LG booth at CTIA, the largest wireless industry trade show.

Prior to the film’s June 24 release, LG Mobile Phones will reveal advertising, retail, online and other consumer electronics initiatives utilizing the film as a key theme for the marketing campaign. The LG limited edition “Transformers” Versa phone, along with the company’s premium line of handsets, offers the latest in mobile technology, allowing people to change their mobile life using one device. LG certainly has some catching up to do when it comes to the worldwide market share. However, there does seem to be some growth. The mobile phones by LG are gradually becoming more popular and the consumer seems to have increasing faith in LG. Design and functionality are LG’s keywords. LG differentiates itself by always applying its own operating system on mobile phones; and never Windows Mobile or Symbian used by other brands.
LG KF750 Secret test - 5 Megapixel digital camera
The LG Secret is the most compact slider phone that features a 5.0 Megapixel digital camera. The pictures this camera produces are nice but not particularly special. In badly lit circumstances noise is visible quite quickly. If the flash is used, over-exposure is the case. Although the flash does offer a lot of light, the effective range is quite limited. The Nokia Supernova series adds a number of colorful mobile phones to the Finnish company’s assortment. Low-budget as well as mid-end mobile phones are available in this new series. ‘Supernova’ is an unexpected choice for the name of a mobile phone line. Supernova stems from astronomy and relates to an impressive explosion of a star during which a lot of light is freed. With the Supernova series, Nokia tries to attract the trend-sensitive consumer who wants to show his or her personality through his/her mobile phone. Among the applications in the main menu are some standard games. The Nokia 7100 Supernova offers: Backgammon, City Bloxx and Snake 3. The latter is an old acquaintance on Nokia mobile phones, however; over time it has been upgraded and improved and looks good on the Nokia 7100. Personally, I find Backgammon rather boring, but I like City Bloxx. The object of the game is to create buildings as high as possible by stacking floors. It’s great for killing time.
