With three input methods, the KF700 seems to be channeling the Sony Ericsson P series except that this particular model looks more like a cellphone than a smartphone. The KF700 comes with three input methods that work together to provide the overall user experience: slide down keypad, touch screen and the “jog dial” of SE folklore which LG calls the “Shortcut dial.”
The UI is a paradigm breaker in the small sense that some actions cannot be completed with a simple push of the button. The shortcut dial for instance can be used to highlight menu items but cannot be pushed down, by instinct, to make a selection. You would have to press down a different button or use the touch screen to input a command. There is also no on screen keyboard unlike the SE smartphones so the keypad is still pretty important.
Other features include a 3MP camera and HSDPA connectivity sans WiFi.
