Video of LG Prada Phone

Not all the mobile phone companies have given up on CeBIT. LG, for example, have being showing off their super-posh LG KE850 Prada phone, giving us a much better look at its user interface - and it looks great!

The phone itself has been hyped as the iPhone killer, as it features a touchscreen display, and shares one or two similarities with Apple’s infamous beast. But how much of a threat it poses to the iPhone will be dependent on its interface, which is the main selling point of the iPhone. Now, with LG showing off the Prada at CeBIT, we get to see for ourselves, and the good news is, Apple look like they’ve got afight on their hands!

As you can see, the Prada phone’s user interface isn’t just a static series of icons - it’s a fully animated touchscreen interface with icons and other screen furniture all fully animated, just like the iPhone’s.

The more I see of this phone, the better it looks, and the more an imposing competitor to the iPhone it becomes. Both phones have similar features and similar interfaces, but the LG Prada should be cheaper, and will work on many different networks. A point by point shoot out beckons later in the year when these two phones are released, and I can’t wait to see the outcome!
